About Bravely Default 2 Walkthrough
Bravely Default 2 is the third installment in the Bravely Default series, following its direct sequel, Bravely Second: End Layer, and its prequel, Bravely Second: A Tell-Tale Heart. The game was released in Japan on April 18, 2015, for the Nintendo 3DS, and then in North America on August 19, 2015.
Despite being the third entry in the series, Bravely Second was not connected to the previous games and was instead meant to be a completely separate story. This game is set in a new region called Excellent, where the player controls four main characters as they explore the 5 different kingdoms.

Bravely Defaulting: Finding A Balance
The combat system in Bravely Default is a classic turn-based combat system. The core combat mechanics are braving and defaulting, which means characters can attack multiple times in a single turn and use their actions.
The catch is what you’re up against. For your characters to attack, they have to have 0 or at least one brave point. If your character has no BP, they will not be able to hit, and the opponent will keep their BP until your character takes theirs. This is the same for your character’s and your opponent’s BP.
So, if you go “full brave” at the beginning of a battle, they will go into turn-debt, meaning they can’t perform any actions for the next few turns. Of course, you could play conservatively, taking only one action per turn, but battles will drag on, and you’ll give your opponents more opportunities to chip away at your party’s health.
On the other hand, you could go full-brave and play it out in a way that leaves your entire party open for the next few turns. After all, it’s only one more round.
Success is about balancing being brave enough to act on your ideas and defaulting on those same ideas because they might not pan out. When it comes to success, the key is doing something that feels right for you.
Bravely Seconding: Other Factors To Consider
1. You probably thought we’d covered most of the essential things, but there’s plenty left to cover. So here are a few things you should know about this system:
2. When you knock out an enemy, your next attack will automatically hit the enemy directly to the right of it.
3. You can also attack enemies on top of them.
4. You can only have four characters in each character slot. This can be problematic if you knock out enemies from behind because the enemy will not attack.
5. You can always return to your last position from your braving attack.
We try only to use enough BP to finish off an enemy. It’s not terrible if your attacks spill over to another enemy, but it makes it harder to aim for weaknesses.
There are several ways to check on how much MP your player has. As a reminder, a small bar at the top left of the screen shows your current MP. The red bar in the middle of the screen shows how much you have left to use. However, the most obvious way to see how much MP you have is by looking at the MP gauge below the enemy roster.
To check your BP, press X. Certain abilities cost BP to use, which means that if a move costs 1 BP, it will take up to 2 BP–one to use the move and one to act.
