Side Tale.A Helping Hand Region.Iki Island Quest Giver.Peasant Requirement.Locate the peasant and give him materials 3 times in the open world (woods, field, beach). After this the tale gets added to your journal and you must visit him at his house to finish the tale. Rewards.Charm of Iron Grip Mission Info.A man is building a new home by himself after Mongols destroyed his house. I gave him what I could. He told me he’s building his home in a grassy clearing west of Fort Sakai. I should look for him there.

Objectives:

Starting Location: A Helping Hand (Locate Peasant in Woods)

A Helping Hand is a secret tale that doesn’t have a map marker. Furthermore, it doesn’t show up in your journal until you’ve finished the tale and there are no waypoints throughout.

The tale consists of finding a man 3 times and giving him materials to help him build his house that was destroyed by Mongols. He will be in the Woods, Field, Beach. You can locate him by the white smoke in the sky that signals his location. He won’t always be there. If he’s not there, check back later.

His first spawn is usually in the Woods shown in the map below (white character arrow marks the spot). Talk to him and give him 3x Yew Wood. You should see the white smoke in the sky from far away when he’s there.

Alternatively, he can also spawn at this location instead, in the south east of Iki Island, area called Weeping Mother’s Meadow:

Locate Peasant in Field -Ghost of Tsushima Walkthrough

Locate the man a 2nd time in the Field and give him 6x Predator Hides. Normally, he should spawn here immediately after finding him at his previous location, but if he’s not there check back later.

Locate Peasant at House

After locating him 3 times and giving him all the materials, the quest will be formally added to your journal. You must now visit him at his house west of Fort Sakai. Talk to him there and he’ll show the house he built with your materials. Then this secret tale ends.

This finishes A Helping Hand quest in Ghost of Tsushima Iki Island.

Ghost of Tsushima Walkthrough

Story -Ghost of Tsushima Walkthrough

The game follows the story of Jin Sakai, one of Tsushima’s last samurai, during the first Mongol invasion of Japan. Jin survives a fateful encounter with the Mongol forces while his clan is wiped out, vowing revenge on the invaders.

Deeming the samurai’s way of combat unsuitable for defeating the Mongols, Jin abandons it and becomes known as the Ghost, using stealth, cunning, and fear to exact retribution and stop the foreign threat from reaching Japan’s mainland.

Gameplay

Players will travel and explore a massive world using way points to guide them to their next objective. As with most open world titles, players can complete a multitude of side quests to obtain various equipment, upgrades, and other useful items to help them progress through the game’s main story.

As the Ghost, Jin will be able to utilize the terrain to move undetected. Players can scale and cling to walls, and jump from vantage point to vantage point to approach targets while staying in the shadows.

Ghost of Tsushima features intense melee combat, utilizing dodges and parries to evade and counter enemy attacks. Stealth gameplay is also emphasized, particularly after Jin adopts his persona as the Ghost and will have access to a variety of weapons and tools to cleverly assassinate targets.

Resolve System

One of the main mechanics of combat in Ghost of Tsushima is the Resolve system. When defeating enemies in battle, yellow circles will accumulate just above Jin’s health bar at the lower left corner of the screen. These can be used to either restore Jin’s health or perform devastating attacks to quickly take out foes, requiring the player to manage these resources in the heat of encounters.

Ghost of Tsushima is a story and a game that spans an entire island. It’s your journey with Jin Sakai as he evolves from a samurai into a sneaky murder machine to liberate his home.

A lot of the mechanics are similar to other open world games, but the sheer number of things to do and how inviting the island is to explore are staggering. Polygon’s Ghost of Tsushima guides are here to be your own Guiding Wind through them all.

We have a beginner’s guide with some tips to set you along your path, as well as a guide for making Jin even stealthier. For combat, we explain Jin’s four different stances and how to use them, and we can help you win every standoff.
