The first step after your intro is to set up a virtual reality (VR) experience for users. You’ll need to set up your mobile device to act as a computer monitor.

You and Hop will be able to move around and interact with others. Hop will bring in his Wooloo, and he’ll leave, leaving you free to explore.

Get out of that house and move to the next town over! You need to hurry because your Dad/Mum is getting up to work. Go to their home and follow Hop there.

After the cutscene, you’ll be back up at Hop’s house, where you can choose from Grookey, the grass-type; Scorbunny, the fire-type; or Cobble, the water-type.

When you first fight against Hop, you’ll see a screen where you need to select your character. You’ll notice that the Wooloo starts with low levels and then slowly increases in strength. That means you’ll want to focus on the other characters while waiting for Hop to use the Wooloo and bring you down to a reasonable level.
