Chapter 8 – The Gunk Walkthrough
The Gunk provides five scanning tasks that you can perform on various objects from the game. Each task has a different reward, and it will take a few tries to complete each task.
Please also pick up all the materials you find as you explore the area. You’ll need these materials to unlock upgrades for Pumpkin. To get the “All In” achievement, you must collect all the parts and pieces to unlock the upgrades.

You’ll know you’re close to the end when you hear the trigger go off. Look to the right, and in the distance, you’ll spot a yellow trigger. You’ll need to shoot it to cause a platform to move.
The path on the other side of the bridge is lined with Gunk. It’s almost impossible to get through, and it can be dangerous as you can quickly get stuck in the stuff if you miss it.

The Gunk – Chapter 5 Walkthrough

At the bottom, head through the dark tunnel to reach Canyon Passage. Make your way through the area. There will be a place to set another beacon. Scan it as you’ll get the Signal Beacon entry.

The Gunk Tips: Hold Down The Aim Button Frequently
One of the primary mechanics in The Gunk is hacking.
You can scan flora, fauna, and ancient architecture to learn a little more about the planet and earn explanations of the ecosystem.
You can use the aim button to scan all the scannable objects, including those you haven’t unlocked yet. When you do that, it will give you a symbol indicating whether you have unlocked that object or not.
Periodically doing so will make sure you get all the rewards and upgrades along the way.

The Gunk’s first item you’ll unlock is called the energy lure. It allows you to charge weapons at enemies and absorb their energy instead of firing back. It’s a fantastic feeling, but make sure you don’t waste it!
It’s a little item that Rani can summon and throw at will. She can call the little spider-like creatures and use them for her benefit.
Later on, the spell had upgrades that can be upgraded with a larger radius and can immobilize enemies when its duration ends.
You can expect to see this item at around the mid-game point. It will help you deal with larger armies and ensure that you are never overwhelmed.
The Gunk Tips: Teleporters Are Super Useful
As you move through uncharted territory, you’ll drop beacons that are like little directional posts. These are used to make it easier to travel quickly around the map to different areas and, most importantly, take you back to the ship.
Whenever you get the chance to place a new beacon, make sure to fast travel back to the ship, so you can use the workbench and acquire new upgrades from your resources.
